I have been informed by our treasurer that Worldpay, our card payment provider, have told us that they are currently having problems with their system.
Because of this, although all your refunds have been processed by me, some of them may be delayed in reaching your cards. This is out of our control and I apologise. Hopefully they will sort it out soon. This should only be affecting refunds from Return of Jurassic Crompton, Jolly Vacman and Niedersachsen Explorer

In light of the recent announcement from the UK Government, and as a responsible Society, we have taken the decision to defer a number of our upcoming events. • 15th August Wotton Light Railway
Every participant will receive an email confirming these changes. All refunds to those who paid by electronic means have now been completed. Cheques to follow.
A decision regarding events due to operate after 15th August will be made in due course in consultation with our partners as the situation develops. We will, of course, keep our members updated, and ensure that everyone’s good health is at the heart of our decision making. We apologise for the disappointment and inconvenience this will cause, and trust our members understand our decision in these unusual circumstances.
Please accept our wishes for your good health and all those close to you.

We are disappointed to have to advise as of lunch time today a change of traction on this weekends programme. The train will now be operating with West Coast Railways traction. Class 37 706 has been allocated to lead on departure from Carnforth Friday morning. We are extremely grateful to Colas Rail and West Coast Railways who have worked hard together today to attempt to resolve a contractual matter that surfaced this morning, but cannot be resolved in time for this operation. We expect the Class 47 to be 47832. We know many people will have been interested in the unusual traction, but the decision has been made to proceed with the project given the unusual lines on all three days and the fund raising objectives for Martin House Hospice. Please accept our sincere apologies for this necessary change to our traction. Our route on all three days remains as per the issued e-tickets.

There is a delay in issuing the tickets for this weekend due to a high workload on our BLS volunteers.
Please bear with us as we work to finish the seating plans and send out the tickets over the next day or so.
Please do NOT email/phone/text the Bookings Officer/Fixtures Secretary/Editor asking where they are.
Your cooperation with the above is greatly appreciated by your Society volunteers!

The C&PRR is delighted to have been offered by the Chawton Junction Railway Company the use of Class 58 freight locomotive No. 58023 which is in Mainline blue livery. It will be accompanied by the companies Class 33 No 33053 which was based at Chinnor 15 years ago but never operated there and will be warmly welcomed back at the railway.
The Class 58 is 35 years old, carries the BR Mainline Blue livery and no member of the class has operated in the UK for 18 years so is expected to attract many enthusiasts to the railway.
Both locomotives will be operating on 27/28/29 March and tickets will be strictly limited to 400 a day so advance booking is strongly recommended as once capacity has been reached no further tickets will be available to be purchased on each operating day at Chinnor or Princes Risborough stations.
